A total of 52 students from both the Proserpine and Airlie Beach Clubs were assessed for their next level when the club held its Gup (Coloured Belt) Grading on Sunday 17 June 2012. The students put on a tremendous display of their skills for their families and friends who had come to watch. The grading was conducted by Head Instructor and Examiner, Vicky Gillam – 4th Dan Black Belt, and assisted by 1st Dan Black Belt Instructors Jim Hodges and Jarrad Arthur.
All of the students have worked extremely hard to get to this stage in their training and there were some notable achievements on the day. From the “Little Tigers” – kids aged 4 to 6 - there was a Triple Promotion for Sam Rogers and Molly McKinnon and a Double Promotion for Jack Sobott, Malita Mailman and Sam Cretan. Honours passes were awarded to William Ventura, William Smith, Mitchell Telford, Brenton Foote, Ethan Ventura, Hunter Williams-Green, Jack McKinnon, Lane Bau-Jackson, Jasper McKinnon, Abbie O'Sheehy, Deegan Elwin, Zali Drosd, Tatum Drosd, Alex Andersen, Shannon Elwin, Sabella Davies, Ryan McCormack, Mitchell Cargill, Zayne Taylor-Crane, Suzanne Crabtree and Zac Maynard.

 A total of 48 students from both the Airlie Beach and Proserpine Clubs were assessed for their next Belt level when we held our first Gup (Coloured Belt) Grading for the year on Saturday 31 March 2012. Of the students who graded there were 26 “Tigers”, 15 Juniors and 7 Seniors – all of whom successfully passed and advanced to their next Level or Gup. A total of 40 students from both the Airlie Beach and Proserpine Clubs were assessed for their next level when the club held its last Gup (Coloured Belt) Grading for the year on Sunday 4 December 2011. Of those grading on the day, a record 24 were the “Little Tigers” – kids aged 4 to 7.
There were some notable achievements on the day. In the “Tigers” class Abbie O’Sheehy was promoted directly to Level 4 – (Yellow/White Belt 1), and a Triple Promotion was awarded to both to Vanda Nichols and Kate Barbara. Sienna Sobott, Oscar Hill, Jack McNally, Sabella Davies and Ethan Ventura all double graded as did Senior student Jason Large who was promoted to 8th Gup (Yellow 2).

The recent Tiger and Gup Grading held at Proserpine saw 41 Students from both Clubs assessed for their next rank. All the students had trained extremely hard and there was a tremendous effort put in by all.

Of those grading on the day, 17 “Tigers” (kids aged 4 to 6) successfully passed and advanced to their next level.

The Club’s first Gup (Coloured Belt) Grading for the year was held on Saturday the 2nd of April 2011 at Proserpine. A total of 43 students from both the Proserpine and Airlie Beach Clubs were assessed for their next level and also included a record 17 “Little Tigers” – kids aged 4 to 7.
The students have all worked extremely hard to get to this stage and there were some notable achievements on the day. A total of 37 students went for their next belt level at the Whitsunday Taekwondo Oh Do Kwan Gup (Coloured Belt) and Dan (Black Belt) Grading recently. This was the last grading for the year and students from both the Airlie Beach and Proserpine Clubs put on a fabulous display of their skills for their families and friends who had come to watch.
